Dock’s Gifts & Treasures Shop

Dock Woods Community’s thrift shop opened its doors in August 2002, combining forces with an existing gift shop at Dock Manor. This new venture was launched as Dock’s Gifts & Treasures Shop. Residents, family members, staff and guests are welcome to contribute household items and furniture, and are invited to look for great pieces that have not outlived their usefulness!

The Gifts and Treasures Shop is located inside the lobby of Dock Manor (enter at the first parking area off of Dock Drive). Hours are Monday through Saturday, 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and the shop is open to the public. Please stop in to see what we might have for you.

Quilts
Resident volunteers and quilters from several local Mennonite congregations dedicate more than 100 hours each month to creating wall hangings and quilts. These quilts are on display around the Community Center, and are available for purchase through the Acorn Shop.

Special orders are accepted. We can make a quilt according to your decorating needs, or simply do the stitching on a quilt that is already pieced. To discuss a special order, please contact Kathy Martin, Gift Shop and Quilting Coordinator, at (215) 368-4438, extension 44230.

Proceeds from quilts, and sales in the Acorn Shop and Dock's Gifts & Treasures Shop benefit the Dock Woods Community Foundation Sharing Fund. The Sharing Fund is available to assist residents who can no longer afford to pay the full cost of their care. This fund provides more than a half million dollars of benevolent care annually to Dock Woods residents. For more information about the Sharing Fund, or to pledge your support, please contact Janet Vincent, Manager of Fund Development & Marketing at (215) 368-4438.

A special thank you to the many volunteers who help run our shops and donate their time as quilters. We are most appreciative of your service!
